DENIED!

DENIED - By The Government
poem by Karen Belanger
Assembling Self

I plead though they ignore my cries.

The record's sealed is their reply.

Time and time again I ask.

I'm told to put it in the past.

I can't get them to try and see.

They have what belongs to me.

I beg for truth but no one hears.

It only falls upon deaf ears.

I get no matter how I try.

The same stone cold response

DENIED.

"i was not born in your heart"

April 12, 2009, 10:45:45 AM
A poem by Lillie:

I was not born in your heart
I did not spring from your brain.
Your reasoning stinks like a fart
My existance, you don't need to explain.

I already have a mom
She's the one from whose uterus I came.
I am NOT a "gift from god"
Nor was I put here to heal your pain.

Please stop the Jesus gibberish
and the "meant to be" refrain.
I am not here to heal you
I am dealing with my own kind of pain.

The Struggle

Author: Eri Sycamore (Australia)
I wrote this poem just after my reunion.

The Struggle

She tells you that you’re special
She tells you you were chosen
But something doesn’t feel quite right
Your heart is almost frozen

You try to tell her that you’re sad
But you can’t quite tell her why
She tells you that upsets her
She says you’ve made her cry

You feel so bad about it
You stop saying you feel sad
You put on the happy face she wants
She says that makes her glad

You try so hard and do your best
And yet she still forgets you
She starts to think about herself
What does she expect of you?

You start to do things for yourself
So as not to be a bother
Then she acts all hurt and asks
“Don’t you love your mother?”

You think to yourself “Yes I do,
I really do love my Mother,
but you’re not her, I was taken from her,
And given to you, you impostor!”

Of course you cannot say that
The tears would flow no end
So you swallow all your feelings
And continue to pretend

As you grow you do your best
You try to tell the truth
But she still wants you to repress
And help her keep her youth

She only sees it her way
She thinks you’re making a fuss
She tells you nurture is all that matters
You think she doth protest too much

You have to do it your way
Her feelings will not alter
Remember she has no regard for yours
And don’t let your path falter

You finally meet your mother
Everything feels so right
You find you have a sister and brother
You talk into the night

Your life has changed forever
You know now who you are
You realise you knew all along
But you’ve had to come so far

You still hear her in your head
Telling you that she’s sad
You find new friends who let you know
What you feel is normal, not bad

It was never up to you
To make that woman happy
She has to do that for herself
It’s not your fault she feels crappy

You are here to look after you
Nothing she says can change that
You are happier now than you've ever been
Never, never forget that

You are one of the lucky ones
You made it out alive
You will be happy one day
In the meantime, just survive.

young hearts ..

young hearts ..

two people in love? it couldnt have been.
young hearts, young minds, nobody seen.

Her belly grows, Everything is okay.
He cheats, she cries, then runs away.

She's all alone now, with nowhere to turn.
She's way to young, theres so much to learn.

Her belly grows more each day.
second thoughts, is there another way?

Baby born, so tiny and new.
she whispers quietly "i love you"

She looks into her baby's eyes.
The love inside her suddenly dies.

She kisses her baby one last time.
She knew she had to say goodbye.

Her tears fell as she walked away.
Hoping to see her baby again someday.

The baby cries, all alone.
As she waits for someone to take her home.

People come, but who are they?
strangers just came and took her away.

The baby grows, but somethings wrong.
The little girl does not belong.

She knows there's something not quite right.
She dreams of her face every night.

Her parents tell her, "your special to us"
"and there's no need to make a fuss."

She goes through life broken and alone.
Still waiting for someone to take her home.

She knew there was someone that had a peice of her heart.
This person stole it when they got ripped apart.

She needed to find her. She tried really hard.
But it broke her down and left her scarred.

So many nights, she would lay there and cry.
The life was drained right from her eyes.

She got lucky one day, and thats when she knew.
her searching was over, her wish had came true.

She found her way back to where she belonged.
With both of her parents, she got to go home.

But thats when she realized it won't be the same.
She missed out on everything, but theres no one to blame.

She tries to be grateful, and is most the time.
But these were my parents, they were soposed to be mine.

Its not fair and will never be.
Im just happy i can love you, and you can love me.
